SINGER Jewel has insisted she’s still a hillbilly and that she won’t ever fix her crooked tooth despite her romance with A-lister Kevin Costner.
The pair have been linkedsince December 2023.

Jewel, 50, who was raised on a five-acre potato farm without plumbing or heat, opened up about her humble beginnings in the August/September issue of AARP.
It was at that farm, on the outskirts of Homer, Alaska, where the singer learned to yodel from her father,Atz Kilcher.
The You Were Meant For Me singer revealed that the traditional singing style “taught me about vocal control and precision.”
“At a gala for my Crystal Bridges [Museum] exhibit in the Ozarks [this year], I sang ‘Over the Rainbow’ and ended with a cappella yodeling. It was full circle – I wanted to honor the region and say, ’Look what we hillbillies can do!'” she boasted.
Jewel still yodels in some of her music, including the song Chime Bells, which is also known as The Yodeling Song.
Growing up in Alaska, Jewel sang and yodeled as a duo with her father near their home.
She told the magazine that her whole family is “artistic.”
“All my aunts sing and write their own songs and taught themselves how to play instruments,” she told AARP.
She continued, “One aunt makes the most gorgeous sculptures. All my cousins play guitar and write music. My grandparents had this very idealistic philosophy of: ‘We’re going to leave Europe, and we’re going to make the world a better place.’ It’s how my family is wired.”
“I want my life to be my best work of art. I want to try to live thoughtfully and intentionally and sculpt my humanity into something that will please me at the end of my life,” the singer revealed.
Kevin Costner’s relationships
Kevin has been married three times and has seven children.
Kevin’s dating history began with actress Cindy Silva, whom he met in 1975 while attending California State University, Fullerton.
They tied the knot three years later and welcomed three children: Annie, Lily, and Joe.
But after 16 years of marriage, the couple called it quits in 1994.
Shortly after, Kevin moved on with philanthropist Bridget Rooney.
In 1996, the actor and former model gave birth to their son Liam.
Two years later, the pair called it quits, and the Academy Award winner went on to engage in several other short-lived relationships.
Kevin dated political activist Birgit Cunningham and model Elle Macpherson.
The movie star then met handbag designer Christine Baumgartner while filming his 1996 flick Tin Cup.
Despite a brief split before their wedding date, the couple married in 2004 in an Aspen, Colorado ceremony.
They welcomed their son Cayden in 2007, followed by Hayes in 2009 and daughter Grace a year later.
But in May 2023, Christine filed for divorce from Kevin after nearly 20 years of marriage.
The divorce was finalized in February after a difficult court battle over their home and a custody battle regarding the kids.
The former model has since moved on with financier Joshua Connor.
Kevin is rumored to be dating Grammy-nominated singer Jewel, though their romance has not been confirmed.
She also admitted that she’ll never fix her crooked tooth as authenticity is a hallmark of beauty.
“My definition of beauty changes, but I think I owe it to myself to try to be authentic,” she said when providing the reason for keeping her teeth as is.
“I don’t want to say natural beauty is better than unnatural beauty. It’s just in your own life and in your own body, what is authentic to you? We all have to find our way to what makes us feel good,” Jewel concluded.

DATING RUMORS
In June, Kevin Costner, 69, finally addressed dating rumors with Jewel following months of speculation.
“Jewel and I are friends,” Costner revealed during an interview onThe Howard Stern Show.
He continued, “We’ve never gone out, ever. I don’t want these rumors to ruin our friendship because that’s what we have.”
TheYellowstonestar went on to call Jewel “special” and “beautiful.”
“It just never has happened for us,” he concluded.
The pair sparked romance rumors after they were seen getting cozy at Jewel’s organization, Inspiring Children Foundation, in theBritish Virgin Islandson December 8, 2023.
TheOscar-winning actor was seen wrapping his hands around Jewel’s waist as she gave a speech at the event.
At the time, an insider shared withTMZ, “There was definitely something going on.
“You could tell they were trying to be discreet, but anybody who saw them could tell something was going on.
“They were flirty, and when they were together, it was like they were both just lit up.”
MOVING ON
Costner and Jewel’s dating rumors come months after his split from his ex-wife,Christine Baumgartner.
The two began dating in 1998 and tied the knot in 2004.
After nearly 20 years of marriage, Christinefiled for divorcefrom Costner on May 1, citing “irreconcilable differences,” as perTMZ.
At the time, Costner’s representative told the outlet, “It is with great sadness that circ*mstances beyond his control have transpired which have resulted in Mr. Cosner having to participate in a dissolution of marriage action.”
Their divorce was finalized on February 16, 2024.
Throughout their marriage, Costner and Christine welcomedthree kids, Cayden, Hayes, and Grace.
Before Christine, Costner was married to his ex-wife, Cindy Silva.
